20 of Little Rock’s finest will be fundraising for Every Cancer. Every Life. Dr. Katy Marino, event chair of Best Dressed Little Rock, invites you for an evening of incredible food, music, dancing, and a runway show with the BEST DRESSED of Little Rock!
It is with profound excitement and genuine humility that I accept the role of Chair for 2026 American Cancer Society Best Dressed Ball. As a thoracic surgeon, I have dedicated my career to battling cancer on the front lines—in the operating room and alongside my patients and their families. I see the toll this disease takes, but I also witness the incredible resilience of the human spirit every single day. This cause isn’t just professional for me; it is deeply personal. Serving as your Chair is not a task, but a profound privilege—a chance to translate my dedication from the surgical suite into a community-wide movement. I am committed to making this our most impactful fundraiser yet, driving resources directly toward vital patient support. I know what it takes to achieve a seemingly insurmountable goal, and I know what incredible strength lies in our community. I have absolute trust in our collective power to respond generously and decisively. Your investment isn’t just a donation; it is a lifeline for families facing the toughest fight of their lives. Let’s channel the hope and determination of everyone touched by cancer into a record-breaking success. Let’s work together to make a monumental difference. Thank you for standing with me and joining the fight.
Leadership
The American Cancer Society provides information and resources to help patients and their loved ones manage through cancer treatment and recovery, and to help with the emotional support they need. They also work to remove barriers that stand between the patient and lifesaving treatment. For many patients with cancer, transportation challenges can create barriers to receive the treatment they need. Many people need daily or weekly treatment, often for several months. Family and friends may help, but they may not always have the time or resources to provide every ride. The American Cancer Society is proud to provide transportation assistance to those in need, by giving free rides to cancer-related medical appointments.
In 2024 alone, the American Cancer Society provided more than 878,000 rides to more than 68,000 patients in need through transportation programs.
Learn MoreFor more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
